Frequently Asked Questions & Submissions Guidelines

What is SSFA?

Every year, Dalhousie Art Gallery holds an exhibition of works by Students, Staff, Faculty and Alumni of Dalhousie University & the University of King's College.

What is the theme of the 70th Annual SSFA Exhibition?

For our 70th annual exhibition, we're celebrating the milestone with the theme Golden Hour. This theme honours our gallery's legacy and is inspired by the luminous tone of our space.

We encourage artists to explore ideas of light, legacy, value, and joy. All mediums are welcome, and you are free to interpret the theme literally or conceptually. This prompt is an invitation, not a requirement.
